The Kindest Mentor

I met David many years ago when I hosted a meeting for people who might be interested in supporting a shoestring nonprofit boatbuilding and community rowing group. David stepped right up and joined the board. He was always supportive and became my friend and when I got married, got a “real job”and moved to New York City, he graciously took over the humble operation. Stephanie was always a big help, as well, as we did all the things a small nonprofit has to do day to day. I'll miss David and will always appreciate his help in making my dreams real and mentoring me through the process.
