David was a giant among men, and it was an honor to have known and worked alongside him.

David's legacy through the Building Bridges, Building Boats program reflects the love and dedication he had for the children he worked with. Whether it was a row to Little Stony Point or a paddle from Albany to Cold Spring, he was the master of adventure, while somehow keeping everyone safe.

Volunteering with David at Clearwater was always the highlight of our summer. I so admired his laid-back, kind, and patient nature. He never lost his cool and approached everything with a touch of humor.

I will forever picture David on the Hudson - strong, steady, and doing what he loved. His adventurous spirit and warmth will surely be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
